Emergency Veterinary Care in Wimberley, TX

While we do not offer 24/7 emergency veterinary services, we can manage some pet emergencies during our business hours. Also, we can sometimes do large animal emergency house calls and small animal house calls after normal business hours depending on which veterinarian is available.

If your pet is having an emergency, please call us right away at (512) 847-5630 and let us know the nature of your pet’s emergency and the approximate time you expect to arrive at our clinic. Our team will prepare accordingly to receive you and your pet and administer treatment as quickly as possible. Depending on circumstances, we may be able to pay a visit to your farm or house to provide care.

What is a Pet Emergency?

We hope your pet never has an emergency, but we do encourage you to contact us or our recommended referral ER if any of the following happen with your pet:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Pale gums
  • Lethargic, unresponsive
  • 24+ hours of vomiting/diarrhea
  • Ingested human medication, rat poison, a choking hazard, etc.
  • 24+ hours or more of not eating or drinking
  • Limping
  • Acting as if in pain (trembling, hunched posture, not getting up or moving, vocalizing)
  • Attacked by another dog, cat, or by a wild animal (injuries can be hidden under the coat)
  • Unable to urinate or defecate
  • Blood in stool, urine, or vomit

We had an urgent need and WVC was able to squeeze us in spontaneously. They provided amazing care and Dr Ferguson took so much time to explain to me what was going on with my puppy which I really appreciated. We will switch from our regular vet to WVC now because of this great experience.
